A committee of agricultural representatives met in June to plan next year's activities for CAB's
Agricultural Safety Program.
CAB will continue to host monthly breakfast meetings through the fall. Slated for September is
an update from Cal OSHA on topics such as Changes in Hazardous Communications and the High
Hazard Industry Program.
Other breakfast meeting topics will include How to Set Up an Effective Driver Safety Program;
Damage Control: What to Do when an Incident Occurs; Employment Laws Review; and Respirator Fit
Testing.
In addition to the breakfast meetings, CAB will offer other workshops and seminars, including a
three-hour workshop on effective discipline. The event is designed for supervisors, managers and owners
and will be taught in English and Spanish.
For more information on the Agricultural Safety Program or the safety update seminars, call
