Copies are now available from CATI of a full-color field guide entitled "Spiders in San Joaquin Valley Grape Vineyards."
The four-page guide contains photographs and descriptions of the most common spiders found in valley vineyards. It is the result of a team effort of plant science and entomology researchers from California State University, Fresno and the University of California.
Authors include Fresno State plant science professor Mark Mayse, who oversees the university's integrated pest management (IPM) program.
